Patient stories

Kaye Simpson

As someone whose health had been in constant decline after an unexpected illness in her teens ultimately lead to kidney failure, life was completely transformed for 31-year-old Kaye Simpson from Buckie, following a kidney transplant in September 2005.

Kaye said: ÔÇťOrgan donation gave me a new start in life and I doubt I would have the life or family I do now without it. Although people take the NHS for granted, I am so very grateful for the care and support I've received. We as a nation should be very proud of the NHS."
