Patient stories

Rory Carmichael

Rory was suffering from recurring pain in his knee which was starting to affect his quality of life. Help from an NHS physio quickly relieved the pain and helped him back to full fitness.

He said: "I cannot praise the NHS enough for the recent treatment of my leg injury. After months of unidentified pain, a physio from the NHS paid a great deal of attention to the issues I'd been experiencing and quickly diagnosed the problem. After only a few weeks of treatment, the pain had completely subsided and I was fully mobile. I am now back to full fitness and I was thoroughly impressed by the care shown to me, as well as the skill of the NHS physio. None of us know when we may need to lean on the NHS for support. I believe that Scots are very fortunate to have this service available 24/7, free of charge."
